There is nothing more precious than freedom.
When a person is charged with a criminal offence and is incarcerated, they immediately become isolated, overwhelmed, and alienated by friends and loved ones. A person is immediately faced by the immense power and resources of the state so going to trial takes guts and courage. We are a law firm that fights for our clients and helps give you the strength to carry you through the criminal justice system to your trial. We stand between you and the rest of the world.

Additional Services and Support
In addition to defending you in the courtroom we support you at every stage of the process:
Live Office Support:
As trial lawyers we are often in court during the day but our staff are available to help you by phone and email every day from 8:30am – 5:00pm. We have an office manager, paralegal, and clerk to help you with questions and to act as a link between you and your lawyer.
Live After-Hours Help:
If you need help outside of regular work hours, we have a 24-hour live answering service that accepts all collect calls. This is a critical service for those who are calling from in custody and for those who are under arrest.
In Custody Meetings:
Your active participation in the trial preparation process is essential. We will travel to detention centres to meet our clients in person in the preparation of their defence.
“[A]n advocate, by the sacred duty which he owes his client, knows, in the discharge of that office, but one person in the world, THAT CLIENT AND NONE OTHER. To save that client by all expedient means—to protect that client at all hazards and costs to all others, and among others to himself—is the highest and most unquestioned of his duties.”
— Henry Lord Brougham (1871)
